what a good start...

so back to school, back to studying, blah, blah, blah...and i was honestly not looking forward to it, but the first two days have allowed me to "see the light at the end of the" semester...monday i got back my calculus test and my organic test, and well, i am very pleased...my calculus test i got a C (that is extremely good, seeing that my teacher can not teach here way out of a wet paper bag) yeahhhhhhhh, and on my organic chemistry test i got a B, i am so excited, it was 11.5 points above the class average....ahhhh (sigh of relief)...so now i am reenergized and i have the feeling that i can finish this semester and not ruin my GPA in the process...not much else going on...well except tomorrow i sing at student recital "The Silver Aria" from The Ballad of Baby Doe (a 20th century opera, we did part of it at Ole Miss if any of my family remember, which yall probably don't because i barely do...anyway i digress)...and there is something thursday, but for the life of me i can't remember what it is (it must be my old age)...have a great night...later

and now, back to the real world

i absolutely love holidays because they recharge me...i get so stressed out and wound up during the school year that when a chance to relax finally does come i jump on it...Thanksgiving in Decatur was great, i love it there because i feel just as i do when i am at home (in brandon)...we had a yummy thanksgiving lunch and i go to meet more of charles's family, but as the saying goes "time flies when your having fun"...before i knew it i was on my way back to the hospital, i worked last night till 11 (or 2300 hospital talk aka military time..its a pain) and was back at 0630 this morning, yes that is AM...it was rough but it was worth it...i was able to get off at early so i could go to church choir rehearsal...we had practice this afternoon because we are singing the Rutter Gloria at the Hanging of the Greens t/m night...i also have a solo t/m morning at early service!
and now with the majority of my holiday behind me i have to focus on school...calculus is so hard for me and i just pray that i can make a C and get into pharmacy school...organic chemistry isn't too bad, i kinda like, despite the fact that i have to study it sooo much, so many people told me that organic was easy all you had to do was memorize, well that is false...at uab memorizing will get you a D, you have to understand it all and be able to apply it too...well enough talking about studying i probably should do some...have a good week back to your "real world" i hope to hear from you all soon...

oh yeah HOTTY TODDY!!!! We get to keep the egg...sorry kecka

this is me!!!

Hello to all that read...my name is Delia and my primary reason for this blog is to communicate with my wonderful family...i am away at school and do not get many chances to talk with them so now they can catch up on my life anytime they want...for all others that read my blog welcome i will give a bit of my background:

I am from Mississippi but in school in B-ham. I am a senior music/pre-pharmacy major at UAB. I am very involved, and the majority of the time, love all of my endeavors...Besides chamber choir, concert choir, and opera at UAB, i also sing at my church, and work at UAB as a pharmacy tech...i have wonderful friends here in B-ham and an incredible boyfriend (he's a keeper), all of these people try to help me stay sane...bottom line...i love my life, however busy it may be. (But i miss my family).

Things that have recently happened:
Saturday i took my PCAT (pharmacy college admissions test), and i am glad that it is over...we just finished our fall one act opera at UAB "Amahl and the Night Visitors" (i was the mother) and it was great fun...Thanksgiving is this week and because i have to work, i cant go home so im spending the holiday with Charles's wonderful family (i am excited)...and after Thanksgiving it is EXAMS...ill let you know how that goes...
